Unique Bishops' Retreat

For 35 years the Roman Catholic and Lutheran bishops in Minnesota make retreat together. In the face of sharp
differences (marriage and ordination are two) the bishops

foresee continuing their practice. What outweighs their differences to motivate them? Prayer.

"One of the most important things we do when we're together is we pray," said the Rev. Lee Piché, auxiliary bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
