Each year the bishop of a diocese gathers with faithful and priests to bless the sacred oils used in sacraments throughout the year. This year those masses have been postponed.
At the mass the bishop asks the priests to renew their priestly commitment and asks the assembled faithful to pray for the priests. In a kind gesture Vincent Cardinal Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, posted a request for prayers for priests.
