Out of Egypt

Many Catholics and other Christians still feel the effects of repression in Egypt. One sad result: "The Christian bombings in Egypt have resulted in many Catholics taking sides."

Keeping people calm is not a solution.
Fr. Rafic Greiche, spokesman of the Egyptian Catholic Church is pointing the finger at the army. “The clashes between Coptic demonstrators and the military, the missionary agency, AsiaNews, declared today, are the result of 30 years of policies based solely on repression and security. Without any society friendly laws, and without education, tensions will continue to rise.”
Read his remarks and those of others in this Vatican Insider story. It is part of the Italian newspaper, La Stampa.
