Indonesian Volcano Erupts. . .

. . .m

ore powerfully than last week

Backpacker Greg Rodgers tweeted that Mt. Merapi, Indonesia's most active volcano, erupted again. Greg linked photos to the volcanoes section of the BBC/CBBC [Children's BBC] website.

This recent eruption had a force three times greater than last week's deadly eruption.

Flying was also disrupted. Thousands of pilgrims, seeking to travel to Mecca and make the Hajj, were grounded at the airport near the volcano, the Agence France-Presse reported.
