The recent tragic killing of sincere aid workers in Afghanistan dampen spirits of many. In Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, with its reputation as the world's deadliest city, nothing dampens the spirits or resolve of Illinois resident, Jerry Quick.
Mr. Quick began building homes with a handful of people, and he has made 40 visits to Ciudad Juárez over 10 years. The unstable climate of the city has revealed something to him: "It's clear that I have to do more here than build homes," Quick says. "These people need help now more than ever."
