40 Days For Life

Yesterday began a 40-day initiative in 80 cities. The Roman Catholic Church observes the month of October every year in order to focus everyone's attention on life and respect for it.

This new initiative concentrates on only one of the many respect-life issues, abortion. Zenit.org began its announcement:

WASHINGTON, D.C., SEPT. 26, 2007 (Zenit.org).- People of faith and conscience from some 80 cities in 33 states are launching the largest simultaneous pro-life mobilization in American history, said the 40 Days for Life campaign director.
